The Masterbilt AJ500M is an amazing value, all-Solid wood, Solid-top acoustic with clear-as-a-bell tone. This guitar features wide- X 30's style scalloped bracing design inside a sloped shoulder Solid Mahogany body with a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood bridge and fingerboard, Bone nut, Bone saddle. The Mahogany neck is set with hide-glue into a hand-fit, dovetail neck joint. The body finish is super-thin for maximum acoustic resonance and tone. An heirloom, professional quality acoustic guitar for a very modest price.

PROS: One of the best 'bang for your buck' guitars out there! Vintage aesthetics include the off-set headstock, open tuners, zippered back w/ heel, binding & inlays, and a rosewood bridge & fingerboard. The specs on the this guitar are really incredible - solid spruce top, solid mahogany back & sides, dovetail neck joint, scalloped braces, bone nut & saddle. Solid wood will age really well and continue to sound better & better. The gloss top is applied thin which maximizes vibration and aging. Plus, it protects from scratches & dings better than the satin top. Loud with really good distinction b/w notes. Sound great whether strumming or finger picking.

CONS: This one does not come with a pickup for those wanting to plug in (AJ-500ME does). It also doesn't come with strap buttons, but these can easily be fitted at a local guitar store.
